💔 Cause of Death & Call for Awareness
Dr. Yuriy Dobry’s passing was the result of cardiopulmonary arrest secondary to acute fentanyl toxicity.
He was found with his blood pressure medication and traces of fentanyl — yet none of his prescribed medications, including the Xanax that had been refilled just days earlier with the help of a colleague.
Several personal items and documents are either missing, deleted, or withheld (current legal battles are ongoing, and updates will be shared when appropriate).
In the aftermath of his death, what followed revealed another tragedy — greed, exploitation, and dilution of Yuriy’s rightful business shares, actions that sought to erase his life’s work and legacy.
What began as a partnership rooted in trust became a struggle for control and profit, overshadowing the humanity and compassion that Yuriy embodied.
Yuriy was more than a physician — he was a healer, a husband, and a father. But like so many in healthcare, he faced unrelenting stress, burnout, and moral injury. The very system and people he trusted ultimately failed to protect him.
His story reminds us that doctors are human too, and that behind every white coat is a heart that can break, a mind that can tire, and a soul that deserves care. Yuriy's widow has spent a lot of money on legal fees dealing with the people who once stood by Yuriy as "friends". There is a current lawsuit that is both upsetting and demeaning, especially considering Yuriy's hard work and sacrifice in expanding the "company" from a single facility to over seven locations in a short span of 4 years, which ultimately contributed to his death as he overworked himself. A source informed the family that Yuriy was advised not to seek extensive medical help and was assured he was in good hands with certain colleagues, as revealing his medical condition would tarnish the company's image. However, business partners have filed a lawsuit demanding over $4 million from Yuriy's estate and widow, aiming to undermine his legacy and cause further emotional distress to the family, all to keep the assets Yuriy worked so hard for as the partners intend to keep Yuriy's assets and not fairly transfer ownership to his wife and young kids. More details will be shared at the appropriate time. This situation stems from greed, as the person Yuriy trusted like a brother, who claimed to be providing Yuriy with "Xanax"(toxicology showed no trace of Xanax), is now trying to demean Yuriy and cause distress to his family for their selfish agenda. It is highly disturbing that someone without a medical license would claim ownership of a medical practice and operate through proxies. The CA Medical Board is conducting an investigation, and we will keep raising awareness and advocating since corporate governance is banned in CA. Yuriy's absence has allowed the wrong people to seize authority and power for their own self-serving agendas.The Dobry Foundation stands to bring awareness to burnout among healthcare professionals, accountability in leadership, and justice in legacy — ensuring that compassion and integrity are never lost to greed.
